My name is Mary Selby, thanks for stopping by my music page. I love sharing my passion for music and take great pride watching my students blossom in their talents. I have been teaching music for over a decade. My teaching methods begin with stimulating a love for music and a desire to practice due to that love, while focusing on fundamentals, music theory and tapping into the student's personal musical tastes and goals.

I began piano lessons, as many do, in early elementary school. A few years later, I wanted to learn guitar and added that instrument, inspired to play with the high school kids in youth group. Recitals and playing with teens much older than I inspired me. Choir, both at church and in high school, also became important in my life.

I have been involved on worship teams for a few decades now (yikes, aging myself), and am currently a worship leader, where I lead on vocals and play either guitar or keys. I have had the privilege of recording my own work and working side by side with the producer in mixing and post production.

I began teaching music to the home schooling community and have seen many take their talents to the next level of ability and creating their own musical story.I have been blessed with a life of music and desire to pass on the passion to others.
